1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using XYLO ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2 Description of Service

XYLO is an on-device document intelligence application that:

Scans and extracts text from documents using your device's camera
Imports and analyzes PDFs, images, and other document files
Generates AI-powered summaries, notes, checklists, and data tables
Allows you to ask follow-up questions about your documents (Document Chat)
Identifies document types, named entities, key figures, and sensitive information

All processing occurs entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.

3 Purchase

XYLO is a paid application purchased through the Apple App Store as a one-time upfront payment. This grants permanent access to all features with no recurring charges or subscriptions.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

4 AI-Generated Content

The App uses on-device AI models to generate summaries, analyses, and answers. You acknowledge that:

AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate. Summaries, analyses, and answers may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
The App is not a substitute for professional services. Do not rely on the App for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Document classification is approximate. Detection of document types, entities, and sensitive information is automated and may miss or misidentify content.
Chat answers are grounded in the document but may contain inaccuracies. Always verify important information against the original document text.

5 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, scan, or import into the App. The App does not claim any rights to your documents, analysis results, or chat conversations.

Since all data stays on your device, you are solely responsible for backing up your content. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored data.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

Process content that violates applicable laws
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models bundled with the App
Redistribute the AI models downloaded by the App
Misrepresent AI-generated summaries or chat answers as human-written professional analysis

7 System Requirements

XYLO requires iOS 26.0+ and iPhone 14 or newer (6 GB RAM minimum). We reserve the right to update system requirements as AI technology evolves.

8 Third-Party AI Models

The App downloads and uses the following open-source AI models:

Your use of these models through the App is subject to their respective licenses. The models are used solely for on-device inference and are not modified or redistributed.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, THAT THE APP WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERROR, OR THAT DOCUMENT SCANNING WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

10 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, LOSS OF DATA, OR INACCURATE DOCUMENT CLASSIFICATION.

11 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
